THROUGHOUT HISTORY: A WELL-PRESERVED HERITAGE
ALEIX/SAINT VICTOR
At the bottom of what would appear to be a completely closed valley, go down the Way of the Cross which will take you to the rocky crag on which sits the church dedicated to Saint Victor. Photo enthusiasts, don't forget your cameras; amateur or professional artists, come and immortalise an enchanting site filled with light and colour, and still unscathed by outside influences...

ARNAC
Enchanet lake (a reservoir with a surface area of 410 ha) offers visitors a wide range of possible outings on its many picturesque meanders, including rental of canoes, pedal boats and motorised boats. You can see one of the largest heron nesting sites in Europe or the ancient railroad bridge over the Maronne river or the Rouffet bridge if the water level is low enough, remembering that beneath the water lie the prairies that were farmed and houses that were lived in in former times before the area was
flooded in the early 1950s.

the dam of Enchanet.

CALVINET
Village square surrounded by beautiful buildings, Puy Capel and Puy Majou, two viewpoints that merit stopping to wander a little. View over the Aubrac and Aveyron plateaux.
CASSANIOUZE
The 13th and 14th century Chapelle de la Sainte-Croix, listed as a protected heritage site. The church bell tower has an exhibition on the 15th century Processional Cross .

Rochers de Servant, a natural site set in breathtakingly beautiful landscape with a superb panoramic view over the Don gorges. On the mountain ridge at the beginning of the Bécarie walking trail at Vinzelle there is a magnificent panoramic view over the Lot Valley.
GLENAT
The church has been rebuilt with stones belonging to the former church in Espinadel that has been destroyed since. The bell tower was restaured durinf the XVIIth century. The “Chateau de la Grillère” was built in the XIIth century to defend the village.
JUNHAC
The Rochers du Diable (Devil's Rocks), natural site at tthe "Peyre" hamlet.

LACAPELLE DEL FRAISSE
Site of the three trees, ancient beeches, viewpoint, walks through the underwood and, expecially the paintings on the trees. Starting point for an orienteering course. Free access all year round.
LADINHAC
Ancient church: square bell tower, thick walls, and circular chevet inside the building, which likely dates to the 12th century. Two chapels with arched ribs, nine of which were added at a later date.
Vachand waterfall: landscaped waterfall one and a half km from the town, on the "Des moulins à la vallée du Goul" hiking trail.

LE FEL
This delightful little village has a magnificent view over the Lot Valley and the vineyards to the north and south, over wooded slopes with the Cantal in the distance. What could be better than to enjoy a good walk followed by a hearty meal here.

MOURJOU
Located in the heart of the Châtaigneraie, its emblem is the chestnut which has provided its inhabitants with a living for many centuries. A gently rolling landscape, traditional architecture, attractive farmhouses, a castle, a museographical site "La Maison de la châtaigne" and its internationally renowned chestnut fair which attracts some 20,000 to 25,000 visitors every year (the 17th edition will be held on 21 and 22 October); a host of fascinating features that make this little village a must to discover.

Typical village. Romanesque church dated of the XIIth century.

PRUNET
Church containing objects and furniture that is listed in the Historical Monuments inventory: painted and gilded sculpted-wood altarpiece, Christ on the Cross, winged tabernacle, six painted and sculpted pannels, a silver, engraved and chased ciborium.
ROANNES SAINT MARY
15th century chapel set on the site of Saint Mary village, which was destroyed during the Hundred Years War. Here you can see the Monts du Cantal mountain chain, and the foothills of the Montagnes Noires and the Quercy.

SAINT ANTOINE
Tour of the 9th and 18th century church that houses the relics of Saint Anthony.
The church, which is dedicated to Saint Anthony, generator of charity, is run by the Order of Malta; you can find out more about the Order in the exhibition at the back of the church.

SAINT ETIENNE CANTALES
Saint Etienne Cantalès lake, artificial French National Electricity Network reservoir covering 600 hectares and containing 135 million m3 of water.…The dam, built in the arch-gravity style, stands 63 m high and has a crest length of 270 m. In its exceptionally well protected verdant setting, the reservoir offers a range of water sports within strictly regulated zones.
